Conjectures on spectral properties of ALIF algorithm

چکیده

A new decomposition method for nonstationary signals, named Adaptive Local Iterative Filtering (ALIF), has been recently proposed in the literature. Given its similarity with Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) and more rigorous mathematical structure, which makes feasible to study convergence compared EMD, ALIF really good potentiality become a reference analysis of signals containing strong components, like chirps, multipaths whistles, many applications, Physics, Engineering, Medicine Finance, name few. In [9], authors analyzed spectral properties matrices produced by method, order stability. Various results are achieved that work through use Generalized Locally Toeplitz (GLT) sequences theory, powerful tool originally designed extract information on asymptotic behavior spectra PDE discretization matrices. this manuscript we focus answering some open questions contained doing so, also develop theory GLT sequences.
