Conflict in Hospital Setting: Managers’ and Staffs’ Viewpoints

Background: Conflict is a continuous challenge in hospitals. Due to the nature of treatment team, identifying conflicts hospitals one managers’ primary and essential tasks. Objectives: The current study examined level causes between hospital employees managers. Methods: descriptive-analytical was conducted 2018 - 2019 on random sample 320 staff Data were collected by self-administered questionnaires. Descriptive statistics, t test, ANOVA used SPSS version 15 for data analysis. Results: mean conflict scores showed that perceived managers highest nursing (4.17 ± 0.94), which statistically significant. In contrast, paraclinical reported least with (2.94 0.88). Nursing noted most critical cause “the unfair distribution human resources”. from perspective, “non-compliance process/standards/regulations hospital” important source conflict. There meaningful associations marital status, job experience, age, levels (P < 0.05). Conclusions: Various reasons can different parts hospital. findings provide clear vision about conflicts, must be addressed successfully.
