Conditions for practicing compressive Fresnel holography.
Recent works have applied diffraction-based wave propagation for compressive imaging applications. In this Letter, we derive the theoretical bounds on the performance of compressive imaging systems based on Fresnel wave propagation, and we show that it is related to the imaging sensor's physical attributes, illumination wavelength, and working distance.
متن کاملMultidimensional imaging using compressive Fresnel holography.
We propose a generalized framework for single-shot acquisition of multidimensional objects using compressive Fresnel holography. A multidimensional object with spatial, spectral, and polarimetric information is propagated with the Fresnel diffraction, and the propagated signal of each channel is observed by an image sensor with randomly arranged optical elements for filtering. The object data a...
متن کاملRecovery of partially occluded objects by applying compressive Fresnel holography.
A compressive Fresnel holography approach is suggested for the recovery of partially occluded objects. Reconstruction guarantees are analyzed and the effectiveness of the method is demonstrated using simulations and an experimental result showing the reconstruction of a partially occluded resolution chart.
متن کاملDigital spatially incoherent Fresnel holography.
We present a new method for recording digital holograms under incoherent illumination. Light is reflected from a 3D object, propagates through a diffractive optical element (DOE), and is recorded by a digital camera. Three holograms are recorded sequentially, each for a different phase factor of the DOE. The three holograms are superposed in the computer, such that the result is a complex-value...
متن کاملCompressive Sensing in Holography
Compressive sensing provides a new framework for simultaneous sampling and compression of signals. According to compressive sensing theory one can recover compressible signals and images from far fewer samples or measurements that traditional methods use. Applying compressive sensing theory for holography comes natural since three-dimensional (3D) data is typically very redundant, thus it is al...
