In this study, an ORC plant is considered that recovers the heat source from 1800 cc Diesel Engine exhaust gases. The power recovered by system could be used, as auxiliary system, to provide energy electronic parts of car. purpose study investigate possibility allocating into a vehicle and in design condenser, with reaching best configurations lead low-pressure drop compact dimensions. Organic Rankine Cycle converts thermal low-grade sources electricity. thermodynamic cycles produce 5 kW were simulated using custom software application. basic cycle was chosen guarantee most configurations. selected parameters are based on need cope atmospheric conditions. working fluid R245fa, due its characteristics. Since electrical part would partially satisfied entire engine dedicated mechanical use. It also assumed that, consequence settings plant, reduction fuel consumption expected, which, although at percentage cannot theoretically evaluated moment, nevertheless predictable. first stage evaluation, condenser presented analyzed.
