چکیده
Advanced biofuels are produced by upgrading the syncrude from biomass gasification and subsequent Fischer-Tropsch (FT) synthesis. The technology is termed to liquid process (BtL) can be categorized into conventional BtL novel processes. utilizes a water gas shift reaction, while an external energy source meet H 2 demand in FT Six different routes, two based on four with solid oxide electrolyzer cell (SOEC) integration, developed evaluated performance economic viability. results show that retain up 96% of carbon (up 46% process), production increased factor 2.4 compared process. analysis shows SOEC costs electricity prices critical for viability plants. For current electrical power cost, optimizing offers best route producing advanced (minimum selling price (MSP): $1.73/L). Further improvement could see dramatic drop costs. With reduced installation cost $230/kW, directly adding SOEC-H synthesis recycling excess CO production. this MSP estimated $1.38/L, 20% lower than optimized

متن کاملProduction of Monosugars from Lignocellulosic Biomass in Molten Salt Hydrates: Process Design and Techno-Economic Analysis
ZnCl2 hydrate, the main molten salt used in biomass conversion, combined with low concentration HCl is an excellent solvent for the dissolution and hydrolysis of the carbohydrates present in lignocellulosic biomass. The most recalcitrant carbohydrate, cellulose, is dissolved in a residence time less than 1 h under mild conditions without significant degradation. This technology is referred to a...
متن کاملTechno-economic assessment of regional biomass use
An approach for techno-economic optimisation and for the analysis of industrial biomass use is proposed in this paper. The ARGUS model (German acronym for: allocation module for a computer-aided generation of environmental strategies for emissions), based on linear programming, has been implemented as one of the few models that investigates VOC emissions from approximately 40 industrial sectors...
متن کاملTechno-economic Analysis of Small Scale Electricity Generation from the Lignocellulosic Biomass
In this study, the techno-economic analysis of lignocellulosic biomass conversion to electricity in a small scale power plant was conducted. The proposed process is based on the thermal pathway of electricity production from a carbon content feed. Woods, forest and agricultural residues were considered as the biomass feed, which are available extensively in Iran. Besides, the process benefits n...
