Computer Vision Using Pose Estimation
نویسندگان
چکیده
Pose estimation involves estimating the position and orientation of objects in a 3D space, it has applications areas such as robotics, augmented reality, human-computer interaction. There are several methods for pose estimation, including model-based, feature-based, direct, hybrid, deep learning-based methods. Each method its own strengths weaknesses, choice depends on specific requirements application, object being estimated, available data. Advancements computer vision machine learning have made possible to achieve high accuracy robustness allowing development wide range innovative applications. will continue be an important area research development, we can expect see further improvements future.

Computer Vision for Head Pose Estimation: Review of a Competition
This paper studies the prediction of head pose from still images, and summarizes the outcome of a recently organized competition, where the task was to predict the yaw and pitch angles of an image dataset with 2790 samples with known angles. The competition received 292 entries from 52 participants, the best ones clearly exceeding the state-of-the-art accuracy. In this paper, we present the key...
متن کاملAutomated Identification of Trampoline Skills Using Computer Vision Extracted Pose Estimation
A novel method to identify trampoline skills using a single video camera is proposed herein. Conventional computer vision techniques are used for identification, estimation, and tracking of the gymnast’s body in a video recording of the routine. For each frame, an open source convolutional neural network is used to estimate the pose of the athlete’s body. Body orientation and joint angle estima...
متن کامل"In vivo" pose estimation of artificial knee implants using computer vision.
This paper describes an algorithm to estimate the position and orientation (pose) of artificial knee implants from fluoroscopy images using computer vision. The resulting information is used to determine contact position from " in vivo" bone motion in implanted knees. This determination can be used to support the development of improved prosthetic knee implants. Current generation implants have...
متن کاملPose estimation using line-based dynamic vision and inertial sensors
In this paper, an observer problem from a computer vision application is studied. Rigid body pose estimation using inertial sensors and a monocular camera is considered and it is shown how rotation estimation can be decoupled from position estimation. Orientation estimation is formulated as an observer problem with implicit output where the states evolve on (3). A careful observability study re...
متن کاملRemote Satellite Position & Pose Estimation Using Monocular Vision
This thesis investigates methods for estimating relative 3D position and pose from monocular image sequences. The intended future application is of one satellite observing another, when flying in close formation. The ideas explored in this thesis build on methods developed for use in camera calibration and Kalman filter-based structure from motion (SfM). Each of the algorithms relies on visible...
