Computational Analysis of Flight Deck Structural Behaviour under Variable Loadings

چکیده
The flight deck of an aircraft carrier is subjected to various loads. In addition, the operation fixed-wing presents unique structural requirements for deck. This paper, therefore, compares behaviour a which was designed following guidelines three classification societies: Lloyd’s Register (LR), Det Norske Veritas Germanischer Lloyd (DNV), and Registro Italiano Navale (RINA). loading scenarios considered in this work represent F-35B Lightning jet from Queen Elizabeth-class (QEC) carrier. A commercial finite element analysis (FEA) software ANSYS also used investigate deflection, stress strain on plates. identified that only calculated thickness values based LR regulations would meet requirement class. finding further supported by FEA.

Stress Analysis of Flight Vehicles under Flight Conditions
A method is presented for the stress analysis of flight vehicles under different flight conditions including gust and control surface deflection (or maneuver) using the governing equations of rigid-body motions and elastic deformations. The Lagrangian approach is used to derive the governing equations of motions. For this purpose, the basic equations of motions are derived in terms of potential...

متن کاملStructural Behaviour of Concrete Energy Piles in Thermal Loadings
The thermo-mechanical behaviour of concrete energy pile foundations with different single and double U-tube shapes incorporated was analysed using the Comsol Multi-physics package. For the analysis, a 3D numerical model in real scale of the concrete pile and surrounding soil was simulated regarding actual operation of ground heat exchangers (GHE) and the surrounding ambient temperature. Based o...
