Compressed Air Energy Storage Capacity Configuration and Economic Evaluation Considering the Uncertainty of Wind Energy

The random nature of wind energy is an important reason for the low utilization rate farms. use a compressed air storage system (CAES) can help reduce characteristics power generation while also increasing energy. However, unreasonable capacity allocation CAES results in high capital investment and long payback period. In order to improve economic benefits storage, this paper studies configuration systems under condition uncertainty. First, typical hourly distribution was obtained using historical data. Factors such as user load demand, time-of-use price grid, cost, shortage sales revenue were considered. Then, model built with charging discharging gas constraints, maximum return on minimum volume tank targets. NSGA-II TOPSIS optimal selection methods used solve problem. Finally, optimize operation case. show that case demand factory 3.2 MW, farm would need keep four turbines running every day, rated 1 MW 7 ensure best project benefit. mode, 1.24 × 103 MWh abandoning could be reduced annually, 2.6 104 kg carbon emissions by within cycle, period only 4.8 years.
