چکیده
Despite its exceptional ability to join dissimilar materials and environmental friendliness, several challenges must be addressed in magnetic pulse welding (MPW). The conventional weldability criterion (i.e., minimum impact velocity) is analytically calculated as a function of material properties without considering the geometry electromagnetic coil, electrical physical parameters, making velocity necessary but not sufficient condition for sound MPW joint. A new criterion, namely effective velocity, proposed, which overcomes criterion’s limitations. can inversely modelled identify shop-floor relevant process parameters it eliminates need fabricate coils product proving stages. proposed approach demonstrated by case study on tubular Aluminium SS304. weld’s soundness produced with computed was corroborated experimental observations lap shear tests, hardness measurements, optical scanning electron microscopy, surface energy dispersive spectroscopy mapping. This investigation expected pave way developing window combinations, high cost time savings.

Control of Welding Residual Stress for Dissimilar Laser Welded Materials
The most common problem of welding dissimilar metals (DMWs) with respect to residual stresses is the differences in the coefficient of thermal expansion and heat conductivity of the two welded metals. In the present work, a CO2 continuous laser welding process was successfully applied and optimized for joining a dissimilar AISI 316 stainless steel and low carbon steel plates. The Taguchi approa...

Electron beam butt welding of stainless steel (SS 304) and electrolytically tough pitched (ETP) copper plates was carried out according to central composite design of experiments. Three input parameters, namely accelerating voltage, beam current and weld speed were considered in the butt welding experiments of dissimilar metals. The weld-bead parameters, such as bead width and depth of penetrat...
متن کاملFemtosecond fiber laser welding of dissimilar metals.
In this paper, welding of dissimilar metals was demonstrated for the first time, to the best of our knowledge, by using a high-energy high-repetition-rate femtosecond fiber laser. Metallurgical and mechanical properties were investigated and analyzed under various processing parameters (pulse energy, repetition rate, and welding speed). Results showed that the formation of intermetallic brittle...
متن کاملEffect of Welding Parameters on the Weldability of Material
In this study, the effect of various welding parameters on the weldability of Mild Steel specimens having dimensions 50mm× 40mm× 6 mm welded by metal arc welding were investigated. The welding current, arc voltage, welding speed, heat input rate are chosen as welding parameters. The depth of penetrations were measured for each specimen after the welding operation on closed butt joint and the ef...
