چکیده

New methods of diffusion metallization AISI W1-7 steel have been developed. The paper proposes a comparative analysis the properties and characteristics after three chemical heat treatment: nitriding, nitrogen titration by physical deposition from gas phase, chromium plating with subsequent titanium alloys. results are presented as comprehensive coatings: metallographic, micro-X-ray spectral, X-ray durometric, resistance, wear resistance. It is established that multilayer protective coatings formed result treatments. shown consist carbide nitride zones, intermetallic, an Al2O3 layer outside coating. found to contain barrier layers prevent aluminum penetrating substrate. maximum microhardness typical for based on carbide—30.3–35.5 GPa nitride—22.0–22.6 GPa, heat-resistant steels at temperature 900 °C in 4.2–8.5 times resistance under sliding friction without lubrication up 5.4 compared samples treatment.

Ti-Cr-N Coatings Deposited by Physical Vapor Deposition on AISI D6 Tool Steels

In this study, physical vapor deposition (PVD) Ti-Cr-N coatings were deposited at two different temperatures 100 and 400ºC on hardened and tempered tool steel substrates. The influence of the applied deposition temperature on the physical and mechanical properties of coatings such as roughness, thickness, phase composition, hardness and Young’s modulus were evaluated. Phase compositions were st...

Mechanical properties and thermal stability of reactive arc evaporated Ti-Cr-Al-N coatings

This licentiate thesis reports experimental and theoretical work on the high temperature mechanical properties and the thermal stability of cubic (c)-(Ti-Cr-Al)1-N1 coatings. It is demonstrated that it is possible to tailor and improve the properties of hard nitride coatings by different degrees of multicomponent alloying. When Cr is added to Ti-Al-N the coatings exhibit age hardening up to 100...

Structure, hardness and thermal stability of Ti(Al,N) coatings

In the past two decades, coatings of the Ti–Al–N ternary system have attracted considerable research and industrial interest. Nevertheless, the Ti–Al–N system still offers new interesting possibilities for coating developments such as the addition of low N contents to Ti–Al films in order to reach a good compromise between high hardness and a low friction coefficient. Ti–Al–N coatings with low ...
