چکیده
Treponema pedis, a fastidious anaerobic spirochete, is one of the main pathogens involved in development and progression bovine digital dermatitis (BDD), lameness-causing hoof infection cattle. Here, complete genome sequencing T. pedis GNW45 isolated from dairy cow infected with BDD, was presented. Libraries for long short reads were sequenced using PacBioRSII Illimuna HiSeqXTen platforms, respectively. De-novo assembly done reads, producing circular contig, by which aligned to generate more accurate sequence. The has total size 3,077,465 base pairs, 36.84% guanine-cytosine content. A 2,749 protein-coding sequences, seven ribosomal RNA’s, 45 transfer RNA’s annotated. Functional analysis revealed genes associated pathogenicity survivability complex pathobiome BDD. This study provided novel insights into survival pathogenic mechanisms GNW45.

Draft genome sequence of ‘Treponema phagedenis’ strain V1, isolated from bovine digital dermatitis
'Treponema phagedenis' is considered to be a key agent in the pathogenesis of bovine digital dermatitis, an infectious foot condition of economic and animal welfare importance. We hereby report the draft sequence of 'T. phagedenis' strain V1. The draft genome assembly consists of 51 scaffolds comprising 3,129,551 bp and a GC-content of 39.9 %. Putative pathogenicity related factors have been id...
متن کاملCharacterization of Treponema phagedenis-like spirochetes isolated from papillomatous digital dermatitis lesions in dairy cattle.
Four spirochete strains were isolated from papillomatous digital dermatitis (PDD) lesions in Iowa dairy cattle and compared with two previously described spirochete strains isolated from dairy cattle in California. These six strains shared an identical 16S ribosomal DNA sequence that was 98% similar to Treponema phagedenis and 99% similar to the uncultivated PDD spirochete sequence DDLK-4. The ...
متن کاملAntimicrobial susceptibility of Treponema phagedenis-like spirochetes isolated from dairy cattle with papillomatous digital dermatitis lesions in Japan.
The minimal inhibitory concentrations (MICs) of 23 Treponema phagedenis-like spirochetes isolated from dairy cattle with papillomatous digital dermatitis (PDD) lesions in Japan were investigated by a broth microdilution method using 15 antimicrobial agents. Although all MIC values showed a monomodal distribution, the MICs of the antimicrobial agents for 90% (MIC(90)) of the isolates tested vari...
متن کاملIsolation and characterization of Treponema phagedenis-like spirochetes from digital dermatitis lesions in Swedish dairy cattle
BACKGROUND Digital dermatitis in cattle is an emerging infectious disease. Ulcerative lesions are typically located on the plantar skin between the heel bulbs and adjacent to the coronet. Spirochetes of the genus Treponema are found in high numbers in the lesions and are likely to be involved in the pathogenesis. The aim of this study was to obtain pure cultures of spirochetes from cattle with ...
متن کاملDraft genome sequence of Treponema sp. strain JC4, a novel spirochete isolated from the bovine rumen.
Morphologically and biochemically diverse members of the Treponema genus are present in the gastrointestinal tract of ruminants, yet very little is understood about their functional importance to this microbiome. Here we describe the annotated draft genome sequence of Treponema sp. strain JC4, a novel spirochete isolated from a bovine rumen sample.
