Competences for education for sustainability: analysis of educational policy documents in Portugal

The present study is part of the TEDS - Teacher Education for Sustainability project. This an Erasmus+ project and involves five European countries: Portugal, France, Lithuania, Finland Malta. main aim to provide teacher educators teachers with knowledge tools necessary implement education that promotes sustainability in their practices. Within this project, one objectives was understand how key competences are educational documents each participating countries. article refers analysis carried out on Portuguese documents. It a qualitative framed interpretive paradigm. exploratory, descriptive-interpretive aimed at identifying describing characteristics related official guide teaching learning. After analysis, validation discussion results content corpus, these seem indicate analyzed compatible considered guiding reference framework. All different aspects various competences, highlighting importance foundation practice sustainability.
