چکیده
In addition to the conventional laboratory tests of input materials and construction mixtures, technically correct design pavement structure involves more frequent functional mixtures. Our study summarizes findings from a long-term monitoring on selected road sections with lower traffic intensity. The research involved comparison resilient moduli as parameter unbound base layers’ granular (UGMs), determined in by test device for cyclical triaxial situ impact load using falling weight deflectometer (FWD). particular, cyclic (Mr,CTT) were compared real values measured FWD (Mr,FWD). A new, unique, innovative was used determine Mr,FWD UGMs. innovation lay dual-axis deflection measurement—measurement performed not just axis parallel road, but also transversal direction. It found that, especially roads load, such (spatial) determination great importance because it often allowed identification local low bearing capacities, at edges, which have significantly value Mr,FWD.

Effects of Aggregate Gradation on Resilient Modulus and CBR in Unbound Granular Materials
Resilient modulus and California Bearing Ratio (CBR) in unbound granular materials are the key technical characteristics of layers in a flexible pavement design. Among the factors affecting these two parameters, the aggregate gradation is the most important. Using particle size distribution curve developed by AASHTO, together with other considerations mentioned in the related regulations have y...

متن کاملNumerical Investigation on the Reference Crushing Stress of Granular Materials in Triaxial Compression Test
Particle crushing dominates the deformation behaviour of granular materials under significantly high compressive and shear stress. A proposed constitutive model has been verified to predict crushing behaviour of granular materials with different crushability and adopted one kind of reference crushing stress. It is noted that no positive dilatancy of granular material in triaxial test occurs onc...

14 The instability of granular materials due to water infiltration under fully drained conditions has been 15 previously considered in experimental studies. While laboratory experiments can provide macro-scale 16 insight into drained instability, the micro-mechanics under such conditions are yet to be explored. 17 This study has employed the Discrete Element Method (DEM) to simulate constant sh...
متن کاملDeformation Moduli of Asphalt Cement-Treated Granular Materials
Triaxial compression studies of asphalt cement-treated granular materials indicate that each material exhibited a volume decrease during initial phases of stress-strain. The stress-strain curve was nearly linear until the material reached minimum volume, after which curvature increased rapidly. The analysis presented is based on the assumption that the point of minimum volume represents a yield...
