Comparison of Static Balance Performance and Plantar Selected Parameters of Dominant and Non-dominant Leg in Active Adolescent’s Female With Ankle Pronation

Background and Aims One of the most important structural abnormalities in foot is decrease height medial longitudinal arch when bearing body weight, which causes deformity ankle its pronation. The present study aims to compare static balance, posture, selected plantar parameters adolescent girls with pronation healthy peers. Methods This quasi-experimental causal-comparative study. Participants were 32 active aged 14-17 years. NewYork digital test was used assess their posture. Chippaux-Smirak index (CSI) evaluate arch, navicular drop determine amount Romberg (with eyes closed) balance. Kolmogorov Smirnov check normality data distribution. Independent t-test balance two groups, Mann-Whitney U postural groups. analysis done SPSS v. 22 software. significance level set at 0.05 Results Among abnormalities, prevalence forward head (1.1%), uneven shoulders (3.6%), lordosis (8.3%), kyphosis (1.6%), knee varus (0.8%), valgus (0.12%), heel (6.2%) (%1.2) higher There significant difference between groups dominant (P=0.00) non-dominant (P=0.03), CSI score (P=0.00). Conclusion Adolescent have more compared mechanical changes posture increased development lordosis, valgus, drop, CSI, reduced them.
