Comparison of Single and Multiple Treatment Plans Made in CyberKnife® Radiosurgery System on Phantom

While the use of CyberKnife® radiosurgery systems is increasing, choice treatment plan also important. In this study, it was aimed to determine more advantageous application by comparing irradiation all metastases at once and protocols separately in multiple brain metastases. For this, on an entirely new head phantom; 6 3 critical organs, including spinal cord, stem, chiasm, were determined over spaces where dosimeters placed. Computed tomography (CT) images phantom taken these tumors organs drawn (contouring) image. planning system, dose we wanted give written plans created be done with a single irradiation. Luminescence (OSL) BeO optical excitation removed from after each count value obtained dosimeter reader device recorded. Homogeneity index (HI), conformity (CI), (nCI), duration treatment, gradient (GI) values one time compared. found that separate terms homogeneity coverage values, seen suitable duration.
