Comparison of Selected Meat Qualities of Broiler Chickens as Affected by Feed Restriction and Strain at Finisher Phase

The present investigation aimed at comparing meat qualities of broiler chickens reared on deep litter as affected by skip-a-day feed restriction and strain. A total number two hundred eighty-eight (288) unsexed day-old broilers comprising 96 chicks each Arbor acre, Marshall Hubbard strains raised intensive housing systems were used to evaluate the organoleptic attributes. allotted randomly 12 pens per birds distributed into four treatments with three replicates treatment. An test was carried out using breast muscle 8th week. cuts salted kept inside labeled polythene bags steamed temperature 72ᶿC. ten trained individuals aged between 20 30 years (males females) employed assess coded samples. Equal bite size from treatment coded, replicated thrice, served for evaluation trainees. Analyzed results revealed that parameters such Aroma, flavor, tenderness, juiciness, texture, overall acceptability not significantly both different feeding regimes chickens.
