چکیده

Objective: Recently, the laparoscopic technique has become widely accepted as a minimally invasive modality which reduces morbidity and provides similar oncological outcomes to open surgery. However, number of clinical trials comparing radical cystectomy are limited. The objectives this study compare long-term between (ORC) (LRC) for bladder cancer. Materials Methods: Out 144 patients admitted our institute from January 2006 December 2016, 87 were categorized being in LRC group, 57 ORC group. Baseline characteristics, perioperative variables, pathology results collected retrospectively. Oncological including overall survival (OS), recurrence-free (RFS) cancer-specific (CSS) analyzed compared two groups. Results: mean age was 64.19 ± 9.89 years group 61.90 10.47 most frequent urinary diversion procedure both groups ileal conduit. All showed no statistical significance. median follow-up duration 57.18 44.68 months 53.96 34.97 There statistically significant difference (p = 0.322, 0.946, 0.528, respectively). Conclusion: Our demonstrated that outcome is comparable management an alternative option safe, effective, feasible. further large comparative studies with adequate recommended support results.

Short- and long-term outcomes of laparoscopic radical cystectomy for bladder cancer in the elderly

This study aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of laparoscopic radical cystectomy in elderly patients. We compared the shortand long-term outcomes of laparoscopic radical cystectomy for bladder cancer between patients aged ≥ 70 years (elderly patients, n = 42) and those < 70 years (nonelderly patients, n = 89). Compared with the nonelderly group, the elderly group had a significantly high...

Long-term urodynamic evaluation of laparoscopic radical cystectomy with orthotopic ileal neobladder for bladder cancer

The long-term urodynamics of laparoscopic radical cystectomy with orthotopic ileal neobladder for bladder cancer remain unclear in the clinical setting. The present prospective observational study was conducted between January 2010 and December 2012 to evaluate the 6-month and 12-month follow-up data of urodynamic changes of bladder cancer patients who were initially treated by laparoscopic rad...

Perioperative and survival outcomes of laparoscopic radical cystectomy for bladder cancer in patients over 70 years

INTRODUCTION Radical cystectomy in elderly patients is a controversial issue that has noticed an increase in importance overtime because of the lengthening average life span. Our objective was to determine if there were significant differences in the perioperative outcomes of patients over 70 years with bladder cancer treated with laparoscopic radical cystectomy (LRC) compared to those of young...
