Comparison of hearing outcome using ossiculoplasty with autologous incus versus titanium prosthesis

<p><strong>Background: </strong>The aim of the study is to compare efficacy autologous incus versus allogenic titanium prosthesis in terms anatomical results, hearing gain after surgery, operative course and complications.</p><p><strong>Methods:</strong> This a prospective interventional 20 patients out which 10 underwent autologus ossiculoplasties performed between April 2018 To 2019 Government Kilpauk medical college hospital, Chennai ethical clearance. The postoperative improvement mean air-bone gap air conduction over same frequencies two groups were studied. A pure tone average more than dB was considered successful.</p><p><strong>Results:</strong> In current study, using ossicular replacement incus. 5 each group canal wall up down procedure. ABG closure 9.30 15.22 group.</p><p><strong>Conclusions: </strong>Titanium provide significant are advantageous because easy insertion with pre-sculpted structure yet cost concern.
