Fatigue assessment of welded joints is vital for accurately designing and predicting lifetime many engineering structures. Assessing weld fatigue challenging due to the high variability in quality geometry because volatile nature joining method further challenges arise when assessing multiaxial fatigue. In this paper, two approaches, Findley criterion Modified Wöhler Curve Method, on several experimental data sets are compared predict life joints. Six from literature tested under a proportional torsion/bending load. The notch stress used calculating stresses at toes weld.
