چکیده
Objective: This study aims to compare the laparoscopic Floppy Nissen fundoplication technique (LFNFT) and Toupet (LTFT) used in treating Type III IV hiatal hernias (HHs).
Materials Methods: retrospective analysis was conducted after ethical approval. Patients who underwent hernia surgery were searched between January 2020 May 2022. BACKGROUND Advances in minimally invasive surgery have led to the emergence of single-incision laparoscopic surgery (SILS). The purpose of this study is to assess the feasibility of SILS Nissen fundoplication and compare its outcomes with traditional laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication. METHODS This is a retrospective study of 33 patients who underwent Nissen fundoplication between January 200...

We present a case of 100% pneumothorax in a 41-yr-old man with a history of gastritis and gastroesophageal reflux scheduled for Nissen fundoplication. The patient was anaesthetized, and insufflation of the abdominal cavity with carbon dioxide was performed uneventfully. There was an increase in the peak inspiratory pressure and wheezing was noted with a decrease in the arterial oxygen saturatio...
