چکیده

Phenolic compounds present in mango peel byproducts have been reported to several beneficial health properties. In this study, we carried out an optimization of phenolic using ultrasound-assisted extraction via ultrasonic bath and sonotrode. To optimize the variables extraction, a Box–Behnken design was used evaluate best conditions obtain high total compound antioxidant activity evaluated by different methods (DPPH, ABTS, FRAP). The optimal were 45% ethanol, 60 min, 1/450 ratio sample/solvent (w/v) whereas sonotrode 55% 18 65% amplitude. extracts obtained at characterized HPLC–ESI-TOF-MS. A 35 determined and, our knowledge, them tentatively identified for first time peel. samples composed mainly acids derivatives, specifically galloylglucose methylgallate, which represented more than 50% byproducts. conclusion, is valuable green technology able produce enriched from that could be food, nutraceutical, cosmeceutical applications.

Optimization of Ultrasonic-Assisted Extraction of Phenolic Compounds from Apples

In order to optimize conditions for the extraction of polyphenols from apples, peel and flesh of apples were subjected to an extraction process with different solvents consisting of various ratios of methanol and water (40, 60, 80 %), 100 % methanol, or with methanol acidified with hydrochloric acid (0.1 %). Extractions were performed using an ultrasonic bath with time periods from 5 to 15 min....

Antioxidant and Antimicrobial Capacity of Phenolic Compounds of Mango (Mangifera indica L.) Seed depending upon the Extraction Process

The extraction method is critical for the recovery of phenolic compounds. The main goal was to evaluate the effect of an extraction process from mango seed on their phenolic profile, antioxidant and antimicrobial capacities. Phenolic extraction was performed in different steps: maceration, alkaline hydrolysis, acid/alkaline hydrolysis, polar and non-polar fraction of an ethyl acetate separation...

Sanitizers Effect in Mango Pulp and Peel Antioxidant Compounds

Effects of ozonated water as sanitizer method on mango were studied on total phenolics, flavonoids, carotenoids and vitamin C of pulp or peel. Mango cultivar “Palmer” was harvested and subjected to sanitization treatments by immersion in water, chlorinated water (10 minutes sodium hypochlorite 100 mg∙L−1) or ozonated water for 10 and 20 minutes. After the sanitization process, the mangoes were ...
