چکیده

This research compared the compressive strength of binary and ternary alkaline-activated pozzolanic concrete. Rice husk ash (RHA) Metakaolin (MK) combined partially with Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) each are concrete while combination rice metakaolin (RHA/MK) OPC is The was replaced at 15% RHA, MK RHA/MK in ratios 0.33 (X), 0.5 (Y) 1.0 (Z) sodium silicate (NS) to hydroxide (NH) as activator. A mix design ratio 1:2:4 water-cement 0.65 alkaline liquid pozzolan 0.30 used process study. Physical properties constituent materials well chemical analysis pozzolans were determined. Slump compacting factor tests done on freshly mixed determine their workability compression test performed hardened cube samples side 150mm obtain strength. Curing for 7 28 days inside water tank. result showed that continuously increased increased. At maturity age 28days, values 14.2 MPa, 17.5 MPa 20.3 0.33, respectively. These higher than RHA taken separately same NS NH which 28days curing 10.9 14.8 16.2 14.0 15.3 18.2 MK. can be construction industry normal work serve effective waste disposal agricultural products such reduce environmental pollution.

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...

Acceptance of Concrete Compressive Strength

The new concrete standards give directives regarding the checking if the hardened concrete conforms to the compressive strength requirements of the designed compressive strength class. The acceptance or rejection of conformity is the function of the compressive strength testing methods and the evaluation of the test results. In the paper through examples we show the role of the acceptance proba...

Prediction of Lightweight Aggregate Concrete Compressive Strength

Nowadays, the better performance of lightweight structures during earthquake has resulted in using lightweight concrete more than ever. However, determining the compressive strength of concrete used in these structures during their service through a none-destructive test is a popular and useful method.  One of the main methods of non-destructive testing in the assessment of compressive strength...

Compressive strength assessment of concrete containing metakaolin using ANN

Artificial neural networks (ANNs) as a powerful approach have been widely utilized to demonstrate some of the engineering problems. A three-layer ANN including three neurons in the hidden layer is considered to produce a verified pattern for assessing the compressive strength of concrete incorporating metakaolin (MK). For this purpose, an extensive database including 469 experimental specimens ...
