Fasting is one of the religious practices or rituals/worship found in almost every tradition, including Christian and Islamic traditions. Several scholars studies, through various research, claim that fasting was practiced thousands years ago by adherents world persists to this day. This study attempts describe teachings Christianity Islam then provides an analysis similarities differences implementing these context Indonesia. library research sense will rely on books scientific journals related topic as primary data sources. practice each has its meaning, uniqueness, characteristics. For example, they have their meaning about purpose fasting, arguments use for types procedures. Furthermore, argues teachings, both Islam, are dynamic, multi-interpretative, contextual.
