چکیده
The occurrence of adventitious roots is necessary for the survival cuttings. In this study, comparative transcriptome analysis between two ramie (Boehmeria nivea L.) varieties with different root (AR) patterns was performed by mRNA-Seq before rooting (control, CK) and 10 days water-induced (treatment, T) to reveal regulatory mechanism rooting. Characterization cultivars, Zhongzhu No 2 (Z2) Huazhu 4 (H4), indicated that Z2 had a high rate but H4 low rate. Twelve cDNA libraries were constructed, total 26,723 genes expressed. non-water culture condition, number distinctive in 2.7 times Z2, while water nearly H4. A 4411 5195 differentially expressed (DEGs) identified comparison H4CK vs. H4T Z2CK Z2T, respectively. After culture, more DEGs upregulated downregulated Gene ontology (GO) functional polysaccharide metabolic process, carbohydrate cellular cell wall macromolecule photosystem GO terms distinctively significantly enriched Simultaneously, Kyoto Encyclopedia Genes Genomes (KEGG) showed photosynthesis, photosynthesis antenna proteins, starch sucrose metabolism pathways Moreover, KEGG jasmonic acid (JA) could interact ethylene regulate AR Z2. This study reveals transcriptomic divergence rates, provides insights into molecular formation ramie.

Transcriptome Analysis of Ramie (Boehmeria nivea L. Gaud.) in Response to Ramie Moth (Cocytodes coerulea Guenée) Infestation
The ramie moth Cocytodes coerulea Guenée (RM) is an economically important pest that seriously impairs the yield of ramie, an important natural fiber crop. The molecular mechanisms that underlie the ramie-pest interactions are unclear up to date. Therefore, a transcriptome profiling analysis would aid in understanding the ramie defense mechanisms against RM. In this study, we first constructed ...

Phytocystatins play multiple roles in plant growth, development and resistance to pests and other environmental stresses. A ramie (Boehmeria nivea L.) phytocystatin gene, designated as BnCPI, was isolated from a ramie cDNA library and its full-length cDNA was obtained by rapid amplification of cDNA ends (RACE). The full-length cDNA sequence (691 bp) consisted of a 303 bp open reading frame (ORF...

Ramie (Boehmeria nivea L. Gaud) is a highly versatile herbaceous plant which is widely cropped in southern China. The success of this herbaceous plant relies on wide use in modern industry. Understanding the profiling of expressed genes in phloem and xylem of ramie is crucial for improving its industrial performance. Herein, we uncover the transcriptome profile in phloem and xylem in present st...

Genetic control of parthenocarpy, a desirable trait in edible fruit with hard seeds, has been extensively studied. However, the molecular mechanism of parthenocarpic fruit development in eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) is still unclear. To provide insights into eggplant parthenocarpy, the transcriptomic profiles of a natural parthenocarpic (PP05) and two non-parthenocarpic (PnP05 and GnP05) egg...

BACKGROUND The root of Boehmeria spp (ramie) is a hepatoprotective Chinese herbal medicine. Medicinal properties vary between Boehmeria nivea var. nivea and Boehmeria nivea var. tenacissima, which are local species found in Taiwan. As commercial preparations may use either species, there is a need for a rapid and simple assay to identify variants for quality control. METHODS Four methods were...
