چکیده

Aim: To evaluate vaginal fluid creatinine and AFI for diagnosis of Premature rupture membranes.Material Methods: A total 80 pregnant women were enrolled in the study Group 1 (control group) consisted 40 healthy with no history leaking per vaginum or leak detected speculum examination 2 (case examination. All patients subjected to ultrasonography Amniotic Fluid Index (AFI) measurement. sampled by Sample processed. & Vaginal level was estimated compared its significance. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis used establish optimal cut-off concentrations AFI, accuracy, sensitivity specificity.Result: The mean case group 0.42+0.1 mg/dl 0.18+0.08 control respectively difference statistically significant (p<0.001).The cut off value >0.25 90% sensitivity, 87.5% specificity 91.6% accuracy PROM. amniotic index significantly lower than (5.3±1.7 vs. 11.3±1.5, p < 0.001). found have highly association between groups. (<0.001). diagnose PROM (case) 97.5% 92.5% respectively, while it’s over all 99.3% a ≤ 7.5 cm.Conclusion: So conclude that if on clinical is doubtful suspicious, USG can be first screening investigation done confirm vaginum, however there are other causes reduced oligohydramnios such as placental insufficiency etc, so adding which one diagnostic test we increase In insignificant decreased suspicion PROM, estimation may useful definitive institute appropriate management. Estimating levels make an accurate even at rural health care facilities ensure early referral tertiary centres needed.
