چکیده
In the current research, engine performance, combustion, and emission parameters of biodiesel mixture 20% Tamarind oil methyl ester 80% Diesel (B20) with inclusion titanium dioxide (TiO2) in different concentrations (25.50 75 ppm) 10% v/v dimethyl carbonate (DMC) as fuel additive investigated using a single-cylinder, 4-stroke, direct injection (DI), compression ignition (CI) engine. The nano blends were prepared through ultrasonication process. ratio 1:4 TiO2: QPAN80 was produced higher stability consistency out five trials. TiO2 characterized FESEM, HR-TEM, Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR), X-Ray diffraction. Fuel properties determined per ASTM standards. Engine tests carried to determine performance under varied loads such 25, 50, 75, 100% while keeping uniform speed 1500 rpm. maximum reduction BSFC, CO, HC, NOx found be 17.64%, 9.49%, 7.81%, 6.53%, increased BTE observed 6.13% for B20T50DMC10 compared B20 blend at full load. Thus, combined effect DMC served excellent characteristics CI operation.

Combustion Performance and Emission Characteristics of a Diesel Engine Using a Water-Emulsified Heavy Fuel Oil and Light Diesel Blend
Using low price heavy fuel oil (HFO) in high-speed diesel engines is a practical way to reduce running costs. However, most high-speed diesel engines’ fuel systems and combustion systems cannot adapt to HFO. This causes the problem of deterioration of combustion performance. In order to solve this problem, the authors have modified the fuel injection system and combustion system of a high-speed...

Today the important challenge is to reduced energy crises and pollution problems , since the use of fossil fuel is continuously increasing due to growth in industrialization. For economic development of country and living standards. Hence there is need to find and alternative fuels to decrease the consumption of fossil fuel and reduce the emission emitted from fossil fuel which produces hazarda...
متن کاملEmission Performance of a Diesel Engine Running on Biodiesel Fuel at Different Compression Ratios
In the present study emission performance of a diesel engine (Lister Petter) was evaluated at different compression ratios and engine loads with soybean methyl ester and its 25%, 50%, 75% blends with diesel fuel at constant speed 1500 rpm. Exhaust emissions included CO, CO2, HC and NOx. The compression ratio and engine load varied from 14 to 20 with an interval 1 and 25 to...
متن کاملComparative analysis of jatropha and karanja-based biodiesel properties, performance and exhaust emission characteristics in an unmodified diesel engine
An ever-increasing drift of energy consumption, unequal geographical distribution of natural wealth and the quest for low carbon fuel for a cleaner environment are sparking the production and use of biodiesels in many countries around the globe. In this work, jatropha and karanja biodiesels were produced from the respective crude vegetable oils through transesterification, and the different phy...
