Chronic suppurative otitis media (CSOM) is a communal ailment of the middle ear Objective: To compare hearing status with and without reconstruction after modified radical mastoidectomy. Methods: 40 total patients (the Atico-antral variety) who endured mastoidectomy (MRM) or were enrolled in study. The subjects alienated into 2 groups depending on surgical procedure. Patients done but was not accomplished added group I (n = 20), MRM 20) to II. thoroughly examined one week before operation, their levels assessed using pure tone audiometry. general anesthesia given both operated under microscope post auricular approach. Temporal fascia cartilage collected as material for grafting After surgery, monitored at regular intervals. 8 weeks, audiometry performed closure air-bone gap compared assessment. Results: Many this analysis amongst 11 20 years age majority male. Bone-air more common undergoing reconstructive MRM. Conclusion: Reconstruction results improved amplification similarly greater improvement life quality.
