Comparative study of cross-ply laminated composite materials and effect of buckling response with and without cutouts

In this work, finite element analysis has been done along with experimental test and conducted using numerical tests of the buckling response quasi-static compressive loading six layers woven cross-ply laminated composite material [0º/90º/0º] centrally square circular cutouts. The effect cut-out shape its size a load were obtained experimentally numerically. Compression experiment performed by INSTRON machine, loads are compared results ANSYS simulation program. Both showing good agreement. It is noticed that plate decreased increasing cutout. cutout area, ratio (d/w), fiber weight, thickness type major to plates.
