چکیده

Study Design: Prospective and Interventional Randomized Comparative Study. Duration of Study: October 2019 to September 2021. Objective: To compare the: 1) Functional outcome using IKDC score. 2) Donor site morbidity by AOFAS score mid-thigh circumference between the autologous peroneus longus tendon hamstrings graft in ACL reconstruction. Methodology: was done on around 100 patients were grouped under two categories. Gr A undergoing Autologus Peroneus Longus B Both group regularly followed up Post op wk 1, 4. Wk 8 outcomes measured via statistical analysis. Observation Result: Based our observation we conclude that both groups comparable terms post operative knee functional donor morbidity. However, ease harvest due its superficial location, short time, adequate thickness, absence any muscle weakness a relatively smaller scar makes is good alternative choice for anterior cruciate ligament

[Anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction with the peroneus longus tendon].

OBJECTIVES The aim of the study was to evaluate the results of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction using a peroneus longus tendon (PLT) autograft. METHODS The study included 29 patients (27 males, 2 females; mean age 30 years; range 21 to 39 years) who underwent ACL reconstruction using a PLT autograft and interference nail fixation. Fourteen patients (48.3%) also had partial meni...

Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction With Autologous Hamstring

BACKGROUND Recent clinical investigations have identified inadequate autograft hamstring graft diameter (<8 mm) to be predictive of failure after reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). PURPOSE/HYPOTHESIS The objective of this study was to determine the utility of preoperative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) variables of the hamstring tendons for the prediction of graft diame...

Knee flexor strength recovery following hamstring tendon harvest for anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction: a systematic review

The hamstring tendons are an increasingly popular graft choice for anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction due to preservation of quadriceps function and the absence of anterior knee pain post-operatively. Two commonly used hamstring grafts are a quadruple strand semitendinosus graft (4ST) and a double strand semitendinosus-double strand gracilis graft (2ST-2G). It has been suggested that con...
