Comparative study between early and delayed perforator flaps for reconstruction of soft tissue defects over distal third tibia

Background: Flap is tissue(s) with its own vascular supply, allowing transfer from one site to another. Flaps come in various forms. The purpose of classification understand the anatomy and features that each flap provides; it also allows communication not only peers but patients as well achieve common goal reconstruction. Objective: aim this study was compare outcome perforator flaps whether being early timing first 48 hours trauma or later than hours. Methods: This conducted period between March 2019 2021 on 40 soft tissue defects distal third tibia outpatient clinic, Emergency department Plastic Surgery faculty medicine, Beni-suef University Surgical departments, Agouza Police Authority hospital, Algizah, Egypt. Results: Dehiscence more frequent delayed compared group (2 vs. 1 case both groups respectively); no statistically significant difference. Healing complications were among group; however, difference had none value.
