چکیده
Biochar and zeolite, due to their porous structure, are supposed be appropriate soil amendments especially in agricultural areas with a lack of water or unsuitable soils coarse texture. Two additions that intended assist an increase content (AWC) biochar zeolite. With this aim, the effects zeolite at two levels 5 10 t ha?1 (known as B5, B10, Z5, Z10) on hydrological properties consequently corn growth were investigated study. The results showed application B5 B10 significantly improved AWC by 76% 48% increasing micro- meso-pores. Z5 Z10, associated macro-pores soil, enhanced saturated hydraulic conductivity (Ks) up 174% 303% caused losses. highest specific surface area mean weight diameter obtained from had 171% 197% over control. treatments considerably affected plant features shoot nutrient content, whilst impact is much less apparent than biochar. Observations indicate greatly boosted availability retention raising share mezzo-pores, respectively, result, has benefited growth. Increasing level 10% would have more positive available root systems. In contrast, high rate particles coarseness adding Na+ ions dispersion particles, destruction Ks loss reduction

A Comparison of Corn (Zea mays L.) Residue and Its Biochar on Soil C and Plant Growth
In order to properly determine the value of charring crop residues, the C use efficiency and effects on crop performance of biochar needs to be compared to the un-charred crop residues. In this study we compared the addition of corn stalks to soil, with equivalent additions of charred (300 °C and 500 °C) corn residues. Two experiments were conducted: a long term laboratory mineralization, and a...

متن کاملInvestigation Role of Vermicompost to Improve Quantitative and Qualitative Characteristics of Corn (Zea mays L.) Production
Overuse of different chemical fertilizers is one of the causes for the degradation of environment and soil. Biological fertilizers are the newest and most technically advanced way of supplying mineral nutrients to crops. Compared to chemical fertilizers, their supply nutrient for plant needs, minimizes leaching, and therefore improves fertilizer use efficiency. Vermicompost is an organic compou...
