چکیده

In this paper, the genetic diversities of 12 rice genotypes (Oryza sativa L.), representing Indica, Japonica, and Indica–Japonica varieties, were assessed using twelve ISSR five SSR markers. addition, evaluated for 11 agro-morphological traits in a two-year trial. Association mapping was performed to detect any association between DNA markers traits. An analysis conducted considering relative kinship among accounting population structure unified mixed-model approach avoid possible false-positive associations. Seventy-three alleles collectively produced by ISSRs SSRs, with an average 6.3 2.8 per locus, respectively. Both marker systems informative, polymorphism information content (PIC) 0.222 0.352 The expected heterozygosity (Hexp) 0.264 compared 0.457 SSRs. After false discovery rate (FDR) method, revealed total significant marker–trait associations six traits, including no. unfiled grains panicle−1, panicle length, weight, panicles plant−1, tillers 1000-grain weight. showed seven markers, while SSRs three phenotypic variance (R2) explained each ranged 29.2% HB11 (associated weight) 49.3% HB8 plant−1). identified reported herein may improve gain future molecular-based rice-breeding programs, particularly those designed improving grain-related or harvest-related

Genetic Diversity in Sadajira Rice (Oryza sativa L.) Germplasm

Genetic diversity of 40 traditional Bangladeshi rice genotypes was studied under rainfed condition through Mahalanobis D statistic for grain yield and yield contributing characters. The genotypes were grouped into six clusters. The inter-cluster distances were higher than intra-cluster distances indicating wider genetic diversity among the genotypes of different clusters. The intra-cluster dist...

GENETIC DIVERSITY ANALYSIS IN RICE (Oryza sativa L

The experiment was conducted under the agro-ecological zone of Modhupur Tract (AEZ-28) to determine the genetic diversity among 39 rice genotypes, collected from Bangladesh Rice Research Institute, Lal Teer Seed Ltd. and Chittagong Hill Tracts. The genotypes were grouped into six clusters based on Mahalanobis’s D 2 statistics and Canonical Variate Analysis. Cluster I consisted with the highest ...

Genetic diversity analysis of recombinant inbred lines of rice (Oryza sativa L.) using microsatellite markers

Estimation of genetic diversity is an important factor in germplasm conservation and characterization. In rice breeding programs, genetic diversity information on specific regions of genome can be very useful for the application of marker assisted selection (MAS) and for gene mapping. A total of 152 rice lines were considered for breeding programs using microsatellites (SSR) technique. The tota...

Genetic Diversity Assessment of Rarely Cultivated Traditional Indica Rice (Oryza sativa L.) Varieties

Random amplified polymorphic DNA fingerprinting was performed to assess the genetic diversity among rarely cultivated traditional indica rice (Oryza sativa L.) varieties collected from a tribal hamlet of Kerala State, India. A total of 664 DNA bands amplified by 15 primers exhibited 72.9% polymorphism (an average of 32.3 polymorphic bands per primer). The varieties Jeerakasala and Kalladiyaran ...
