چکیده

Bee venom from honey bees (Apis Mellifera L.) is known to have many pharmacological and biological properties. Melittin, a peptide consisting of 26 amino acids, as the main component bee venom. The study aims develop rapid capillary electrophoresis method for separating quantifying melittin in honeybee Since basic peptide, it will adhere wall during separation. Two different methods were developed this electrophoretic separation melittin. As first approach, low pH buffer system was used. For second column coated with positively charged polymer (PEI). With both developed, migration achieved by preventing adsorption. Melittin migrated 6 min when low-pH applied, whereas its time longer than 10 PEI-coated column. Thus, preferred analysis actual bee-venom sample. 100 mmol L-1 phosphoric acid/sodium dihydrogen phosphate at 1.55 chosen buffer. conclusion, fast reliable determination applied an Anatolian sample highlight amount. amount found 24.5 ± 3.4 g g-1

Improvement of Capillary Electrophoretic Enantioseparation of Fluoxetine by a Cationic Additive

One of the problems encountered in CE separations of basic compounds is the adsorption of analytes onto the negatively charged capillary wall which could lead to poor repeatability of migration time and peak area. Additionally, separation of enantiomers of chiral of basic drugs is commonly carried out in low pH buffer which contributes to strong ionic interaction of the cationic drug ions with ...

Determination of chromate adulteration of human urine by automated colorimetric and capillary ion electrophoretic analyses.

Various chemicals can be added to urine specimens collected for drug analysis to abnormally elevate ionic concentrations and/or interfere with either immunoassay urine drug-screening procedures or gas chromatographic-mass spectrometric confirmation techniques. One such adulterant, "Urine Luck" (formula 5.3), has been identified in our previous research to contain potassium dichromate. Screening...

Capillary electrophoretic separation of nanoparticles

In the present work, CdSe nanocrystals (NCs) synthesized with a trioctylphosphine surface passivation layer were modified using amphiphilic molecules to form a surface bilayer capable of providing stable NCs aqueous solutions. Such modified nanocrystals were used as a test solute in order to analyze new electrophoretic phenomena, by applying a micellar plug as a separation tool for discriminati...

Validation of a method for determination of phospholipase A2 and melittin in bee venom preparations by capillary electrophoresis.

A method was validated for the determination of the 2 main components of bee venom, phospholipase A2 and melittin, by capillary electrophesis (CE). Optimum resolution and selectivity were attained with a running electrolyte of 150 mM phosphoric acid, pH 1.8. The repeatability and day-to-day reproducibility of the migration times were better than 0.36 and 2.8%, respectively. The repeatability an...
