Comparative analysis on digital surface model of urban area from Sentinel-1 SAR interferometry and aerial photogrammetry for disaster mitigation plan

This paper presents an effort to evaluate the generated digital elevation model (DEM) from active sensor onboard satellite of Sentinel-1A and aerial photos taken using unmanned vehicle (UAV). The objective is compare quality DEM review processes for disaster mitigation prevention plans application. radar data acquisition used in this study pair SLC-type data. interferogram processed coherence phase complex imageries. Meanwhile, photography was within smaller urban area Padang City. photogrammetry process generate conducted structure motion (SfM) technique. procedures are reviewed by comparing products with other publicly available DEMNAS, SRTM, AW3D. found that generating Sentinel-1 interferometry SAR a challenging process. product unmatched has lower compared due several identified factors. In contrast, high computational cost produced good if sufficient ground control points (GCP) were set.
