چکیده
Objective: A precise measurement of breast volume is a critical component preoperative planning for achieving symmetry, particularly in women undergoing breast-conserving surgery with oncoplastic reconstruction. Carcinoma the most prevalent form malignancy and its treatment continues to evolve emphasis individual care. The aim this study was assess precision mammographic anthropometric methods measuring volume, post-mastectomy specimen functioning as analysis’s control. Methods: Breast measured preoperatively using mammography (anatomic) methods, water displacement method (Archimedes) after total mastectomy. enrolled 126 cancer patients admitted mastectomy period 12 months. findings obtained were statistically compared values acquired other two approaches. Results: from mean 791.67 mL (range: 504.6–980.6). approach yielded 807.76 (493.7–971.2) whereas 786.81 (488.6–956.1) values. Paired t-test analysis revealed that more accurate all age groups method, significant p<0.001. Conclusion: Mammography shown be before surgical intervention, evidenced by current when method.

Five Methods of Breast Volume Measurement: A Comparative Study of Measurements of Specimen Volume in 30 Mastectomy Cases
BACKGROUND To compare breast volume measurement techniques in terms of accuracy, convenience, and cost. METHODS Breast volumes of 30 patients who were scheduled to undergo total mastectomy surgery were measured preoperatively by using five different methods (mammography, anatomic [anthropometric], thermoplastic casting, the Archimedes procedure, and the Grossman-Roudner device). Specimen volu...
متن کاملPatient Satisfaction with Implant Based Breast Reconstruction Associated with Implant Volume and Mastectomy Specimen Weight Ratio
PURPOSE Breast volume assessment is one of the most important steps during implant-based breast reconstruction because it is critical in selecting implant size. According to previous studies, there is a close relationship between the mastectomy specimen weight and resected breast volume. The aim of this study was to evaluate long-term patient satisfaction with implant-based breast reconstructio...
متن کاملUniformity of Dose Distribution in Target Volume in Radiotherapy Techniques for Breast after Mastectomy.
Background & Objective: Radiotherapy has a very special significance in the treatment of cancer. Beam radiation therapy using photons and electrons produced by a linear accelerator is used extensively in the treatment of breast Cancer. In this article, In addition to providing a description of three techniques of radiotherapy in the treatment of breast cancer, has been Evaluating the effectiven...
متن کاملA geometric analysis of mastectomy incisions: Optimizing intraoperative breast volume.
INTRODUCTION The advent of acellular dermis-based tissue expander breast reconstruction has placed an increased emphasis on optimizing intraoperative volume. Because skin preservation is a critical determinant of intraoperative volume expansion, a mathematical model was developed to capture the influence of incision dimension on subsequent tissue expander volumes. METHODS A mathematical equat...
متن کاملImpact of Silicone gel breast prosthesis on photon beam therapy of recurrence carcinoma post mastectomy
AbstractIntroduction Silicone gel breast implants are used for breast reconstruction post mastectomy. In the event of cancer recurrence, the radiation oncologists are forced to irradiate through the prosthesis device. Due to prosthesis higher atomic number dose perturbations occur during treatment. This study determined the influence of silicone gel thickness on the photon beam distribution. Ma...
