Comparative analysis of full car model with driver using PID and LQR controllers

In this study, an active suspension model is proposed to increase the driving safety and passenger comfort of car, which adversely affected by car-road interaction. context, full car with a driver considered as eight degrees free-dom. All motion equations were determined Lagrangian method converted into state-space forms. Then, these are solved precisely us-ing Euler's in Matlab software. PID LQR controllers designed reduce vertical displacement rotational movements car. order evaluate performance controllers, two different road inputs speeds taken account. simulation results, verti-cal acceleration values examined. While controller stands out damping dis-placement at low speeds, much more successful other cases.
