Comparative Analyses Reveal Peroxidases Play Important Roles in Soybean Tolerance to Aluminum Toxicity

چکیده

Aluminum (Al) toxicity is an important barrier to soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) production in acid soils. However, little known about the genes underlying Al tolerance soybean. We aim find key candidate and investigate their roles this study. Comparative transcriptome analyses of Al-tolerant (KF) Al-sensitive (GF) varieties under control stress at 6, 12, 24 h were investigated. A total 1411 showed specific up-regulation KF or more than GF by stress, which significantly enriched GO terms peroxidase (POD) activity, transporter activity (including tolerance-related ABC transporter, ALMT, MATE), four families transcription factors (AP2, C3H4, MYB, WRKY). The expression levels seven POD up-regulated for least one time point KF. H2O2 pretreatment improved KF, likely due increased induced H2O2. Our results suggest that PODs play toxicity. also propose a list would provide valuable insights into mechanisms

Aluminum Toxicity and Tolerance in Plants.

Aluminum (Al) is the most abundant metal in the earths crust, comprising about 7% of its mass. Since many plant species are sensitive to micromolar concentrations of Al, the potential for soils to be A1 toxic is considerable. Fortunately, most of the A1 is bound by ligands or occurs in other nonphytotoxic forms such as aluminosilicates and precipitates. However, solubilization of this A1 is enh...

Specific subunits of heterotrimeric G proteins play important roles during nodulation in soybean.

Heterotrimeric G proteins comprising Gα, Gβ, and Gγ subunits regulate many fundamental growth and development processes in all eukaryotes. Plants possess a relatively limited number of G-protein components compared with mammalian systems, and their detailed functional characterization has been performed mostly in Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana) and rice (Oryza sativa). However, the presence ...

Cytological and Transcriptomic Analyses Reveal Important Roles of CLE19 in Pollen Exine Formation.

The CLAVATA3/ESR-RELATED (CLE) peptide signals are required for cell-cell communication in several plant growth and developmental processes. However, little is known regarding the possible functions of the CLEs in the anther. Here, we show that a T-DNA insertional mutant, and dominant-negative (DN) and overexpression (OX) transgenic plants of the CLE19 gene, exhibited significantly reduced anth...

Comparative analyses of a cystic fibrosis isolate of Bordetella bronchiseptica reveal differences in important pathogenic phenotypes.

Bordetella bronchiseptica is a Gram-negative bacterium that infects and causes disease in a wide variety of animals. B. bronchiseptica also infects humans, thereby demonstrating zoonotic transmission. An extensive characterization of human B. bronchiseptica isolates is needed to better understand the distinct genetic and phenotypic traits associated with these zoonotic transmission events. Usin...

Microbial communities play important roles in modulating paddy soil fertility

We studied microbial communities in two paddy soils, which did not receive nitrogen fertilization and were distinguished by the soil properties. The two microbial communities differed in the relative abundance of gram-negative bacteria and total microbial biomass. Variability in microbial communities between the two fields was related to the levels of phosphorus and soil moisture. Redundancy an...
