چکیده
A sensitive, compact detector for the simultaneous measurement of O3 and NO2 is presented in this work. There are two channels detector, namely Ox channel channel. In presence excess NO, ambient converted to both channels, directly detected via cavity ring-down spectroscopy (CRDS) at 409 nm. At a 10 s integration time, have 1σ precision 14.5 13.5 pptv, respectively. The Allan deviation plot shows that optimal sensitivity occurs an time ~60 s, with values 10.2 8.5 accuracy 6% 5% channel, largest uncertainty comes from effective absorption cross-section. Intercomparison detection between good agreement within their uncertainties, absolute shift 0.31 ppbv, correlation coefficient R2 = 0.99 slope 0.98. Further intercomparison O3/NO2-CRDS developed work commercial UV monitor also excellent agreement, linear regression slopes close unity value 1 min averaged data. system was deployed measure concentrations Hefei, China, observation results show obvious diurnal variation characteristics. successful deployment has demonstrated instrument can provide new method retrieving fast variations NO2.

Fast response cavity enhanced ozone monitor
Ozone is an important atmospheric gas due to its role in air quality and radiative forcing. A new method for sensitive, rapid monitoring of ambient ozone has been developed using a compact platform and relatively inexpensive components. Based on incoherent broadband cavity enhanced absorption spectroscopy (IBB-CEAS), the device utilizes an optical cavity of just 14.5 cm and 99.3 % reflective mi...

We report on a novel approach to cavity ring-down spectroscopy with the sample gas in saturated-absorption regime. This technique allows us to decouple and simultaneously retrieve the empty-cavity background and absorption signal, by means of a theoretical model that we developed and tested. The high sensitivity and frequency precision for spectroscopic applications are exploited to measure, fo...
متن کاملAn Introduction to Cavity Ring-Down Spectroscopy
Spectroscopy, the study of the interaction of light (electromagnetic radiation) and matter, is the most ubiquitous and precise method available to the physical scientist. Especially for isolated atoms, molecules, and small clusters, it has no peer. It is used to elucidate the structure and dynamics of quantum systems from atomic nuclei to natural proteins. Essentially everything we know about t...

Recent measurements of carbon isotopes in carbon dioxide using near-infrared, diode-laser-based cavity ring-down spectroscopy (CRDS) are presented. The CRDS system achieved good precision, often better than 0.2 per thousand, for 4% CO2 concentrations, and also achieved 0.15-0.25 per thousand precision in a 78 min measurement time with cryotrap-based pre-concentration of ambient CO2 concentratio...
