Community structure of Neuroptera (Insecta) in a Mexican lime orchard in Colima, Mexico

The present study provides information on the composition and seasonal abundance of families Chrysopidae, Coniopterygidae Hemerobiidae associated with Mexican lime trees [ Citrus aurantifolia (Christm.) Swingle] in Tecomán, Colima. was conducted a orchard, untreated chemically. Field surveys were carried out during 13 months, from May 2013 to June 2014. Sampling monthly using 5 collecting techniques: Malaise trap, sweeping net, aerial yellow pan traps, canopy fogging. A total 508 specimens collected, placed 3 21 species, 6 those are new citrus records worldwide, 7 distribution for Colima state, Mexico. most abundant frequent species Ceraeochrysa cubana (Hagen, 1861), cincta (Scheider, 1851) Chrysoperla externa 1861). Diversity order 1, including their relative abundance, 7.1 effective species; first period vegetative sprouting trees, share maximum values diversity. results have implications conservation use diversity Neuroptera state.
