Gastrointestinal anthrax, a disease caused by Bacillus anthracis, remains an important but relatively neglected endemic of animals and humans in remote areas the Indian subcontinent some parts Africa. In current study, several common plants indicated for diarrhea, dysentery, stomachache or as stomachic per traditional knowledge subcontinent, i.e., Aegle marmelos (L.) Correa (Bael), Allium cepa L. (Onion), sativum (Garlic), Azadirachta indica A. Juss. (Neem), Berberis asiatica Roxb. ex DC. (Daruharidra), Coriandrum (Coriander), Curcuma longa (Turmeric), Cynodon dactylon Pers. (Bermuda grass), Mangifera (Mango), Morus (Black mulberry), Ocimum tenuiflorum (Ocimum sanctum L., Holy Basil), gratissimum (Ram Tulsi), Psidium guajava (Guava), Zingiber officinale Roscoe (Ginger), were evaluated their anti-Bacillus anthracis property.
