Commercial Drivers’ Unprincipled Behaviour and Commuters’ Discontent: Perception from One Side of a Coin

Behaviours of commercial drivers have been examined to influence the choice public transport services by commuters. This study aimed at determining issues discouraging patrons informal services. Primary data was used for this study. The primary method included use focus group discussions (FGDs) carried out in Shaki, Oyo State. Voluntary participation select 22 participants FGDs. Fourteen (14) predetermined questions were discussed among participants. Responses transcribed and thematic analysis create main themes. Results showed that unprincipled behaviours a common place as reported 100% respondents. Majority respondents displeasures desire own private means mobility. concluded sustainable patronage service would be threatened if drivers’ activities relation interaction with commuters are not regulated.
