Combustion Melting Characterisation of Solid Fuel Obtained from Sewage Sludge

Solid fuelization technology can increase the heating value of sewage sludge such that it be utilised as a fossil fuel substitutes. Reducing landfilling bottom and fly ash resulting from heavy metals contained in is challenging. Hence, combustion melting (CMT), which discharge form slag, has been proposed herein an alternative to conventional incineration technology. However, further research required improve flowability slag. Applicability CMT for stable treatment generated during energisation solid reviewed. The change degree fluidity was identified via laboratory-scale measurement experiment following changes temperature, mixing ratio sawdust, basicity. pouring index (PI) (pellet) maintained at level about 60% basicity 0.8. Based on results, slagging rates volume reduction rates, exhaust gas analysis, metal elution characteristics under oxygen enrichment were derived 2 ton/day pilot plant experiment; thereafter, feasibility determined.
