چکیده
The combustion characteristics of a staged cycle engine with an oxidizer-rich preburner were experimentally studied at different momentum ratios multi-element injectors. Propellants simultaneously supplied as liquid–liquid–liquid system, and injector was designed in which swirl coaxial jet is sprayed. burned the propellants inner chamber had temperature greater than 2000 K. To cool gas, liquid oxidizer to cooling channel outside injector. prevent turbine blades from melting, gas maintained below 700 confirm high-temperature inside low-temperature injector, three types injectors manufactured ratios: MR 3.0, 3.3, 3.7. In this study, results test for each type compared 30 s. For ORPB-A, pressure 18.5 MPaA, fuel mass flow rate 0.26 kg/s, 15.3 inlet 686 K obtained stability period 29.0–29.5 efficiency 98% 3.0 (ORPB-A), superior that other ratios. addition, during fluctuations characteristic velocity, pressure, propellant low, indicating stable. instability all less 0.8%, thus confirming excellent.

Atomization in Gas - Centered Swirl - Coaxial Injectors ( POSTPRINT )
A preliminary study of atomization mechanisms in gas-centered swirl-coaxial injectors for use in rocket engines has been undertaken. Gas-centered swirl-coaxial injectors differ from other injectors in that atomization occurs from a wall-bounded liquid. Few studies of atomization mechanisms in wall-bounded flows exist; some probable atomization processes have been determined, however. These mech...

A new facility has been built at the University of Michigan to study shear coaxial combusting gas-gas injection in a rocket combustion chamber. This facility, capable of chamber pressures of 10 atmospheres, is used to obtain a better understanding of the complex fluid dynamics and combustion processes found in rocket combustion chambers and to provide data to assess NASA’s computational fluid d...
متن کاملSpray Characteristics of a Liquid-Liquid Coaxial Swirl Atomizer at Different Mass Flux Ratios
An experimental investigation is performed to explore the characteristics of sprays produced by a liquid-liquid coaxial swirl injector in a non-combusting environment. Phase Doppler anemometry is used for the measurement of velocity and Sauter mean diameter of droplets across and along the injection axis for various innerand outer mass flow rates. Results of the combined spray are compared with...
