Combining HIIT Plus Cognitive Task Increased Mental Fatigue but Not Physical Workload in Tennis Players

چکیده
Mental fatigue can significantly impair physical performance during sports practice. However, previous studies have not analyzed the impact of combining High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) with a cognitive task on performance. In this line, we developed present research to investigate specific aspects mental and as well potential HIIT task. Therefore, objective study was compare indicators between single an incongruent Stroop added protocol. A cross-sectional conducted 32 tennis players (25 men 7 women, mean age = 21.40). Two sessions were performed: (1) one presented rests, (2) another without rests. fatigue, load, wellness measured. Additionally, maximum heart rate, peak speed, rate variability through RMSSD recorded using monitor. Mann-Whitney U tests Wilcoxon performed explore differences during-session loads pre- post-HIITs. The results showed that mixed caused higher increases in (p 0.04) ratio perceived exertion 0.001) from post-HIIT. no significant external (speed) internal (heart rate) factors observed protocols. This suggests subjective feelings increased due fatigue. it did decrease workload for players. incorporating short periods could be used develop tolerance workload.

Enhanced Temporal but Not Attentional Processing in Expert Tennis Players
In tennis, as in many disciplines of sport, fine spatio-temporal resolution is required to reach optimal performance. While many studies on tennis have focused on anticipatory skills or decision making, fewer have investigated the underlying visual perception abilities. In this study, we used a battery of seven visual tests that allowed us to assess which kind of visual information processing i...
متن کاملIliopsoas and Gluteal Muscles Are Asymmetric in Tennis Players but Not in Soccer Players
PURPOSE To determine the volume and degree of asymmetry of iliopsoas (IL) and gluteal muscles (GL) in tennis and soccer players. METHODS IL and GL volumes were determined using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in male professional tennis (TP) and soccer players (SP), and in non-active control subjects (CG) (n = 8, 15 and 6, respectively). RESULTS The dominant and non-dominant IL were hypert...

Although there are several studies on the effects of mental fatigue on task performance, still much is unknown about the cognitive processes that underlie performance deficits under fatigue. In the current study we test the idea that behavioral manifestations of mental fatigue may be linked to compromised executive control. Executive control refers to the ability to regulate perceptual and moto...
متن کاملShoulder injuries in tennis players.
The mechanism of the overhead action in throwing sports has been studied extensively. This motion is unnatural and highly dynamic, often exceeding the physiological limits of the joint. Owing to overload of various anatomical structures, the shoulder is susceptible to injury. Optimal shoulder function requires good kinetic chain function, optimal stability, and coordination of the scapula in th...
متن کاملMental workload and its association with fatigue in operating room personnel of Hamadan hospitals, Iran, 2016
Background: Fatigue in the workers reduces the individual's resistance and eventually leads to the lower performance, increased errors and accidents. This study assessed the fatigue, mental workload and the correlation between them, in operating room personnel of Hamadan hospitals, Iran. Materials and Methods: In a descriptive study, the mental workload and its association with fatigue in oper...
