چکیده

High temperature is a major environmental stress that devastatingly affects wheat production. Thenceforth, developing heat-tolerant and high-yielding genotypes has become more critical to sustaining production particularly under abrupt climate change fast-growing global population. The present study aimed evaluate parental their cross combinations normal heat conditions, exploring diversity based on dehydration-responsive element-binding 2 gene (DREB, tolerance in response abiotic stress) genotypes, determining action controlling yield traits through half-diallel analysis. Six diverse bread (local exotic) 15 F1 hybrids were evaluated at two different locations timely late sowing dates. Sowing date, location, genotype, interactions significantly impacted the studied traits; days heading, chlorophyll content, plant height, grain yield, its attributes. Cluster analysis classified parents crosses into four groups varying from heat-sensitive indices. P2 P4 identified as an excellent source of beneficial alleles for earliness high yielding stress. This was corroborated by DNA sequence DREB transcription factors. They highest homologies dehydrin with species. hybrid P1 × P5, P6, P4, P3 P5 detected be good specific combiners attributes conditions. These designated could used breeding climate-resilient cultivars. non-additive genetic variances preponderant over additive most both narrow-sense heritability ranged low moderate traits. Strong positive associations between each number grains/spike, thousand-grain weights, which suggest importance indirect selection stress, especially early generations, due effortlessness measurement.

Path Analysis of Yield Related Traits in Wheat Genotypes under Normal Irrigation and Drought Stress Conditions

For identification of correlations and relations among different traits in bread wheat, 30 genotypes were investigated based on a split plot experiment in the form of randomized complete block design with three replications under normal and moisture stress conditions during the 2016-2017 crop season. The results of the analysis of variance showed that the effect of genotypes was significant for...

Investigation of General and Specific Combining Ability and Genetic Analysis of Different Traits of Bread Wheat under Non-Stress and Drought Stress Conditions

The production of new and compatible cultivars to different environments is one of the most important goals for the breeders. The crossing new cultivars and the selection of superior genotypes for desirable traits among their offspring is a method that has always been used by breeders. 28 genotypes obtained from the crossing of a 7 × 7 one-way diallel experiment consisting of seven parents (Alv...

Efficiency of Pedigree Selection in Bread Wheat under Drought Stress Conditions II – Yield and its component traits

Pedigree selection was practiced on two bread wheat populations, namely i.e. (Debeira x Sahel 1) as considered population I and (Sids 6 x Sahel 1) as considered population II. Experiments were conducted under drought stress conditions (at 12 % soil moisture content) in order to improve yield and its component traits (no. of spikes / plant, biological yield, grain yield / plant and 1000-grain we...
