Combined small incision cataract surgery and trabeculectomy on intra ocular pressure outcome

چکیده

Trabeculectomy is a gold standard filtration procedure in the management of glaucoma. However, small incision cataract surgery with trabeculectomy combined surgical for coexisting glaucoma and cataract. The final success rate related to minimizing intraocular pressure (IOP) depends on follow-up duration assessment criteria. This study was aimed evaluate long term control morphology bleb cases undergoing trabeculectomy. One hundred diagnosed moderate or severe glaucomatous damage above 32 years were recruited. Postoperative follow up done from day 1 12 months, (IOP), postoperative complications. In PAOG, 61.3% had good 60% poor IOP. PACG, 32% 28% IOP control. overall success, qualified 63% complete 97%. Cases early >10mmHg 5th >13mmHg 10th associated at end 12th month. Small an effective reducing pressure.

A comparative study of combined small-incision cataract surgery with sutureless trabeculectomy versus trabeculectomy using W-shaped incision

Introduction: Manual small-incision cataract surgery with trabeculectomy is now an acceptable option in the surgical management of combined cataract and glaucoma uncontrolled with maximum tolerated medical therapy. Objective: To compare the results and complications of combined manual small-incision cataract surgery (SICS) and posterior chamber intraocular lens (PCIOL) implantation with trabecu...

Visual rehabilitation and intraocular pressure control after combined manual small incision cataract surgery and mitomycin-C augmented trabeculectomy.

Both cataract and glaucoma are significant public health problems. Combined cataract operation and trabeculectomy is required for visual rehabilitation and control of intraocular pressure (IOP) thereby preventing progressive optic nerve damage, in patients with coexisting cataract and glaucoma. The aim of this study was to find out the visual rehabilitation and IOP control following combined ma...

Small Incision Cataract Surgery

The place and relevance of manual small incision cataract surgery Modern cataract surgery aims to achieve a better unaided visual acuity with rapid post surgical recovery and minimal surgery related complications. Early visual rehabilitation, better unaided visual acuity and surgical safety can be achieved in a great measure by reducing the incision size. Incision size depends on the mode of nu...

Effects of combined cataract surgery and trabeculectomy with mitomycin C on ocular dimensions.

AIMS To characterise changes in ocular dimensions after combined cataract operation and trabeculectomy with mitomycin C using separate incisions (combined operation). METHODS 24 consecutive eyes that had combined operation and 16 eyes that had cataract operation alone were enrolled. The axial lengths before and after operations were determined with non-contact optical coherence biometry. The ...
