چکیده
The case study aims to describe the nephrotic syndrome (NS) in a castrated 3-year-old male Cocker Spaniel dog. patient arrived at hospital with loss of appetite and weakness. Skin oedema ascites was observed along hypoalbuminaemia, hypoproteinaemia, hyperlipidaemia, hypercholesterolaemia, proteinuria (urine protein creatinine ratio = 22.4). Based on these findings, diagnosed NS, although renal biopsy not conducted. Prednisolone (1 mg/kg, p.o. q12 h) mycophenolate mofetil (10 were prescribed as immunosuppressive drugs, previously cryopreserved allogeneic adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells (2 Ă 107 cells/kg) injected intravenously. After several weeks treatment, recovered from NS. This is first report drugs being used treat dog

Mesenchymal Stem Cells May Ameliorate Nephrotic Syndrome Post-Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation-Case Report
INTRODUCTION Because of their immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory effects, mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have been considered as potential therapeutic agents for treating immune-related or autoimmune diseases, such as graft-versus-host disease (GVHD). Nephrotic syndrome (NS) after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) is an uncommon complication with unclear etiology...
متن کاملSuccessful treatment of nephrotic syndrome in twin pregnancy: case report
Background: Nephrotic syndrome is a kidney disorder that is identified by signs of nephrosis, severe proteinuria, hypoalbuminemia, and edema. It is a component of glomerulonephrosis, in which different degrees of proteinuria may occur. The complications of this syndrome may include blood clots, infections, and high blood pressure. Essentially, decreased protein through the kidneys (proteinuria)...
متن کاملLinezolid Induced Twice Pure Red Cell Aplasia in a Patient with Central Nervous System Infection after Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplantation
Linezolid (LZD), severed as the first oxazolidinone antibiotic, was active against multidrug-resistant gram-positive strains. LZD can induce thrombocytopenia, anemia and leukocytopenia. Currently, reports on pure red cell aplasia (PRCA) cases induced by LZD are relatively rare [4-7]. In this paper, we reported a patient with PRCA twice induced by LZD. A 37-year-old man was diagnosed with myelody...

متن کاملA 16 Month Survey of Cyclosporine Utilization Evaluation in Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant Recipients
Objectives: Graft versus host disease (GVHD) is a life threatening reaction in the stem cell transplantation process. Nowadays Cyclosporine is the most commonly utilized agent for GVHD prophylaxis and it has a major role in successful transplantation. Cyclosporine has been applied for many years in this field but it could be stated that currently no general consensus is available for its optima...
