Collaborative Writing on Google Docs: Effects on EFL Learners’ Descriptive Paragraphs

Google Docs has recently been suggested as an efficient collaborative tool for group writing. This experimental quantitative study, including pretest-treatment-posttest design, aimed at comparing the effects of writing on and individual practice EFL learners’ descriptive paragraphs. The participants were 48 Turkish learners pre-intermediate level proficiency, based their performance Oxford Placement Test. assigned to two groups. One group, 24 participants, experienced plus researchers’ comments feedback (CWGD group). other researcher’s direct corrective (IWP results independent samples t-test indicated that CWGD significantly outperformed IWP group. In conclusion, environment can enhance skill learners. Therefore, study highly recommends utilizing English language skill.
