Collaborative Evaluation Designs as an Authentic Course Assessment

Abstract: Strategies for optimizing evaluator education involve ongoing discussions within the field of evaluation. There remains unrealized potential authentic assessments to support and measure learning that demonstrates integration evaluation theory with practice. In this practice note, we advance collaborative designs as a useful assessment generating type applied evidence required an evaluation-focused graduate course. First, provide brief review educational literature, highlighting value description contexts where effectively design. Next, offer details four instructional processes involved in assessment: planning, development, feedback, measurement. Finally, lessons learned from our experiences learner benefits design assessment.
