چکیده

In response to the ambient temperature, insects' physiology and behaviour change just like those of all other living things. For this investigation, FC1 X FC2 double hybrid silkworm strain/breed was used. The larvae were collected on third day their fifth instar put in little paper trays for a one-hour cold shock treatment at 10, 15 20°C with relative humidity 75±5% B. O. D. CS-induced allowed recuperate an hour room temperature. Compared control (2.16 g) larvae, average weight recorded 2.30, 2.31, 2.2 g, which correspond 15, 20°C, respectively. When compared group, population created from 10°C demonstrated ERR improvement 70.83 percent (67.50 percent). However, 15°C respectively, elevated 86.67 75.83 noted. Mortality 11.67% between 10 15°C, whereas it 12.50% 20°C. ability transition into next instar, spin cocoon, become pupa eventually moth utilised assess cold's potential impact larval, pupal, adult mortality. Highest cocoon 1.37 g observed 15°C. Weights cocoons measured (1.30 g), corresponds temperatures made by CS had shell weights 0.22, 0.24, 0.19 0.30 control. Temperature 15°Cshowed higher efficiency traits studied showed slight decline traits. As result, we inferred that exhibited profound temperature can be used develop strains temperate areas.

The genome sequence of silkworm, Bombyx mori.

We performed threefold shotgun sequencing of the silkworm (Bombyx mori) genome to obtain a draft sequence and establish a basic resource for comprehensive genome analysis. By using the newly developed RAMEN assembler, the sequence data derived from whole-genome shotgun (WGS) sequencing were assembled into 49,345 scaffolds that span a total length of 514 Mb including gaps and 387 Mb without gaps...

Effect of Salicylic Acid on Commercial Traits of the Bivoltine Crossbreed Races of the Silkworm, Bombyx mori L.

Topical application with 100, 200 and 300 ng/ml phytohormone salicyclic acid on commercial traits was analysed in bivoltine CSR2, CSR4 and CSR2XCSR4 crossbreed races of the silkworm, Bombyx mori L. The results showed that there was significant increase in larval weight female cocoon weight, male cocoon shell weight, and hatching percentage with 100 and 200 ng/ml, silkgland weight, female cocoo...

Nucleotide Diversity and Selection Signature in the Domesticated Silkworm, Bombyx mori, and Wild Silkworm, Bombyx mandarina

To investigate the patterns of nucleotide diversity in domesticated silkworm, Bombyx mori L. (Lepidoptera: Bombycidae) and its wild relative, Chinese wild silkworm, Bombyx mandarina Moore, we sequenced nine nuclear genes. Neutrality test and coalescent simulation for these genes were performed to look at bottleneck intensity and selection signature; linkage disequilibrium (LD) within and betwee...

Improvement in economic traits of the silkworm Bombyx mori L. by exposure to ultrasound

The effect of ultrasound on important economic traits of the silkworm, Bombyx mori L., was studied in the laboratory. The silkworm eggs in blue-egg stage were exposed to ultrasound at 1 MHz and at an intensity of 9 W/cm 2 for 2 min, and the impact was examined on the economic traits of the silkworm. An elevatory effect was recorded with respect to egg hatchability, subsequent growth of larvae, ...
